That question.....Why do you want to lose weight? ..... is one of the most important questions you need to ask yourself in order to succeed. What are your reasons for wanting to lose weight? Is it for health issues? Your appearance? To improve your self-esteem? Do you have a plan for reaching your goals? What obstacles do you need to overcome? We each need to personally think seriously about these things. I suggest you grab a pen and do the following. 1). Make a list of every reason you can think of for why you WANT to lose weight. 2). Make a list of reasons why you SHOULDN'T or CAN'T lose the weight. Then analyze whether these are legitimate reasons or just excuses. Give yourself a big red checkmark next to the excuses!!! 3). Next make a list of any obstacles you forsee that might hinder your weight loss efforts. 4). Now next to these obstacles write down one or two things you can do to overcome these problems. : 5). And now I want you to write down how you invision your life will improve by reaching your goals. Post this list on your fridge, or somewhere visable, to remind yourself from time to time just why this weight loss journey is worth the effort! Because it IS worth it! Because YOU are WORTH it!!! I have faith in us! We can do this!!! Let's kick some major fat cell butt!!!

Thanks girl, I copied that all down and plan on making my lists and posting it on the computer so I look at it all the time.

hello sweetie...good ideas ! I used to really think only of "appearance" but now as I get older it's that old health issue and wanting to be able to keep up with my friends and family...and of course to LIVE huggies Mouse

i am presently on crutches-with severe arthritis,and refuse surgery to fuse both ankles looseing a few pounds and possibly gentle yoga can keep me from the cutting table-sorry seamstress by trade-be nice to stand and cut my fabric once again.i have had sucess with high protien and low carb, but have fallen off the bandwagon lately ???my honey does the cooking and even cooks for me-so i really have no excuses-i want to donate some time at the red cross so need to get it together, i look forward to your support girls=this is a great idea -thanks ;D
