I'm telling you Mouse, this time we are going to lose the weight AND keep it off! I know we can do this. Here's my question for you: Does it seem easier for you to do this time around? I mean, for me, it seems like this time is easier then it was the first time I did it. And I lost a lot of weight that time too, but it seemed really hard!! I dont' know if it is just because this time I know what I am doing already and I know that it works for me or if I have just finally had enough of this weight issue and it's just clicking easier!
And Cher hon, even though you are doing this for the first time, I would like to know how it is going for you and if you're happy you chose this plan!

Well sweetie, I must admit. I am very happy I chose this plan. I suffer every day with headaches and am happy to say I have only had one since I started and that was from lack of sleep.
It is going great. I have lost 7 pounds in my first week and I have more energy. I don't feel so dragged out and I don't get the shake's from my body coming off of sugar. I can't even stomach a cup of coffee. And this is coming from a person who was about a 10 cup a day drinker.
I eat steak, shrimp, sausages, veggies, and much more. I can honestly say I don't feel hungry from it.

I'd heard about the Atkins diet but never really new much about it. Thanks for sharing the info. It sounds kind of hard to me. I don't eat much meat ( a little chicken maybe twice a month) and no fish...pretty much everything I eat seems like a no-no (except for the salads)
Does it really work??

Well Rainbow, I have to say that for me, the low carb diet (Atkins) has worked and has worked well. In fact, I can honestly say that it is the only plan that has ever worked for me. I guess it would be difficult to do when you don't eat much meat, although I believe in Dr. Atkins book there is a section on vegetarian eating! Hope that helps you!

There are other Low Carb diets out there.
1. Atkins ( been around since the late 1970's - and has made a huge comeback in the last few years.
2. South Beach Diet ( similar to Atkins more food choices upfront)
3. Curves has a low carb diet. It's just a points one, your allowed what you want Start out at 20 carbs for 2 weeks, then jump to 40 - 60 following.
Those are the ones I know.
Basically Low Carbing is taking out "ALL SUGAR and all Flour. That's what your taking out, or as much of it out as possible depending on which low carb your following.
Big NO No's are Bread, pasta, and potatoes. And of course sugary stuff. That's what they have in common. So if you can give those up, you can find a low carb to follow.

I don't eat much meat ( a little chicken maybe twice a month) and no fish...pretty much everything I eat seems like a no-no (except for the salads) Does it really work?? Here is something that might help you out.. I took this post from somewhere else. Instead of meat, replace the meat with soy "meat like" products. I prefer the Gardenburger brand. I eat the Gardenburger Sausage (which ends up having "0" carbs) due to the fiber content. With my omlette in the morning I put Harvarti cheese (or any good tasting cheese) green onions and sauteed mushrooms. I sprinkle 2 Tbls. of flaxmeal on top of my omlette (tastes surprisingly good) and have some Cholula hot sauce and sour cream on the side. Lunch: I just eat some veggies or mock danish or flax seed muffin. Dinner: is usually a salad with romaine lettuce, spinach, tomato, avacodo, olives, green onions and whatever cheese sounds good with sauteed mushrooms. I like an olive oil and vinegar dressing with garlic. With that I eat 2 Gardenburger Flame Grilled patties (as they are the lowest in carbs) and sometimes have cheese melted on top and have ranch made with heavy cream (diluted) and sour cream. The Atkins Center advised me and their vegetarian patients to eat some fish to make it more enjoyable. Be sure and count the carbs in the soy "meat like" products in your total carbs for the day.
